Grow with Satori : A Journey of Thoughtful Becoming

Three years ago, the idea of a company offering life and leadership training and coaching services was birthed by Shanti Sharma, strongly supported by Pawan Sharma. A few brainstorming sessions later, this idea was given a name: Satori, chosen for how well it resonated with the company’s vision. Satori is a Japanese Buddhist term that translates to awakening through self-discovery.

Being a one-woman army, the company initially moulded itself around its founder and the driving force behind Satori, Shanti Sharma. In those early days, Satori was an extension of its founder and that’s how it was presented to the world. The design language and branding were more of an afterthought. Pink was intuitively chosen as the primary brand colour... a shade that felt “feminine, but not too girly.” Its calm and nurturing tone echoed the firm’s ethos.

As a startup, the brand’s patterns weren’t strictly defined. Instead, they evolved from a loose palette that followed instinct and personal resonance.

As Satori grew in experience and welcomed new team members, it became clear that we needed a proper web page to showcase what we do. That’s when Satori organically evolved into Grow with Satori… mostly because the domain we really wanted wasn’t available 😊. But in hindsight, the name felt just right... it reflected how we work and what we stand for.

From here, the branding became more intentional, and a distinct brand personality began to take shape. The shift from personal to purposeful was a conscious one... envisioning the brand as an “older sibling.” You may ask why an older sibling 😊 well, traditionally, the older sibling shares wisdom through lived experiences, mistakes, and growth, mentoring the younger ones in a unique, empathetic way. This idea gradually influenced the company’s design language.

Like the story of the Chinese bamboo tree, our journey has been one of patience, preparation, and persistence. For years, when you water and tend to bamboo, nothing seems to happen above the ground. Yet, underground, a powerful root system is forming. And then; when the time is right; the bamboo shoots up to 80 feet in just six weeks.

That’s how Satori has grown. The early years may have looked quiet on the outside, but they were spent nurturing roots: values, methods, and a vision strong enough to support rapid growth. What you see today as Grow with Satori is not an overnight success, it is the visible blossoming of years of unseen, intentional work.

Over time, Satori outgrew its own skin. The rebrand was a thoughtful attempt at shedding that skin. With a move to a larger office, new team members, expanded programs, and a sharper message, the brand needed to reflect its evolving identity. It was a chance to refresh, build visual consistency, and tell the story more clearly. The process began with the new name and was followed by a rebranding effort driven by a desire to stay current while remaining authentic.

The new design needed to reflect a brand that was not only warm and welcoming but also confident, composed, and quietly powerful. These are the traits Grow with Satori upholds with high standards and has consistently lived up to them in its short but eventful journey.

Reimagining the design language was straightforward but not necessarily simple. The visual direction leaned toward simplicity and clarity. Texture-heavy elements that felt too bold or harsh were scaled back to better align with the brand’s welcoming and supportive ethos. Vector-based design became foundational, featuring flat shapes and feather-like, flowing forms to convey openness.

Earlier elements, like Zen-inspired squiggles that symbolized flow and enlightenment, were reconsidered. While beautiful in theory, they didn’t translate well across platforms like websites and social media. Still, the symbolism of water; adaptable, calming, yet powerful; has remained an integral part of the visual narrative.

Grow with Satori’s original pink remained at the heart of its identity. The shade was refined to feel more current, while green was introduced to balance its femininity. Cream and off-white provided a grounding base, and a deeper purple added contrast, symbolizing calmness, depth, and quiet strength.

Today, Grow with Satori stands as a reflection of purposeful growth, rooted in self-awareness, grounded confidence, and authentic human connection.

What began as a personal calling has become a collective mission: to make workplaces better for people, teams, and organizations by focusing on self-awareness, skill-building, and community development.
